BarbellMax is a barbell plate calculator, one rep max calculator, and workout program tracker. It is local-first: by default, nothing you enter leaves your device. No account is required. There are no ads, no analytics, and no tracking, and we never sell data.
All data you enter (programs, workout logs, lift history, plate settings, preferences) is stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage or the Android app's local storage. If you never sign in, this data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or anyone else.
You can optionally sign in with a Google account to sync your data across devices. If you do:
• Your Google account email and basic profile are stored by Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to identify your account.
• Your training data (programs, workout logs, lift history, settings) is stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your account so your devices can share it.
• This data is encrypted in transit, is used only to provide sync, and is never sold or shared with third parties.
Signing out stops syncing. To have your synced data and account record deleted, email us at the address below and we will remove them.
If you share a program, its structure (name, weeks, days, exercises) is stored on our servers under a random link ID so the recipient can import it. Shared programs contain no personal information and none of your workout logs. Anyone with the link can view and import the program. To have a shared program removed, email us with the link.
We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporting services, or any third-party tracking tools, on the web or in the Android app.
The Android app uses internet access to load the app and, only if you sign in, to sync your data with Firebase. No network requests are made for data collection or tracking.
BarbellMax does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
