Instructions — Lifts & Runs

Max Lifts

Shows your most recent logged max for each exercise at a glance. Tap a lift button to expand its full history — date, weight, reps, and calculated 1RM.

The Include in MAX LOAD total checkbox controls whether that lift is counted in the combined total displayed on the One Rep Max page. Bench, Squat, and Deadlift are included by default.

Custom exercises you add on the One Rep Max page appear here automatically.

Tap Hide ▾ to collapse this module when you don't need it.

Strength Progress — A line chart below the lift buttons shows your 1RM progression over time for the selected exercise. Tap any exercise button to switch the chart. Dates run oldest to newest left to right so you can see progress at a glance. Log history on the One Rep Max page to populate the chart.

Upcoming

At the top, Active Programs shows a progress bar for each program you have underway — the number of days completed out of total days. This gives you an at-a-glance sense of where you stand in each block.

Below that, the next 3 scheduled workout days across all active programs are listed in sequence. Today's workout is highlighted with (Today) in red.

Tap any row to jump directly to that program.

Days are projected sequentially from today — one per consecutive day. If your program has rest days built in by design, the upcoming list still shows the next workout days in order.

Programs, Protocols, & Blocks

All your training programs live here. Each program card shows its status automatically:

Tap + New to create a program. Tap View to open it. Tap Edit to modify its structure. Tap Share to generate a link anyone can use to import that program.

Program Archive — At the bottom of this module, completed programs are stored here. Tap to expand. Shows the 5 most recent by default with a Show More option.

Sharing Programs

Tap Share on any program card to generate a shareable link. Send it via text, email, or any messaging app. When the recipient opens the link, they'll see the program name and structure with a one-tap Add to My Programs button.

Sharing works for anyone — they don't need to be signed in. The program is saved to their device immediately. If they're using a browser, they should sign in to sync to keep it across all their devices.

On Android, tapping the link will open BarbellMax directly if the app is installed. On iPhone or desktop, it opens in the browser — the import works the same way either way.

Shared programs include the full structure: all weeks, days, exercises, sets, reps, and weight settings. Log history is not included — the recipient starts with a clean copy.

Building a Program

Weeks — Add weeks and give each one a label (e.g. "Week 1", "Deload Week"). Tap Duplicate to copy a week and all its days and exercises.

Days — Add days to each week with a name and optional date. Each day has a Date field directly in the editor — set it while building the program so your day cards are pre-dated from the start. Tap Duplicate on a day to copy it. Tap Remove to delete it.

Exercises — Add any standard lift, custom exercise, or Run to a day.

Logging a Workout

Open a program, select a week tab, and find your day card.

Logged days are saved with all exercise details, sets, reps, weights, and notes. The program advances to the next day automatically.

Activity Log

Shows all logged workouts, most recent first. Each entry shows the program name, day label, exercises, and Done or Missed status.

The log shows the 5 most recent entries by default. Tap Show more to expand.

Module Management

Drag to reorder — Each module has a grip icon on the left of its header. Press and hold it, then drag the module to reorder. Your layout is saved automatically.

Hide ▾ — Collapse any module to keep the screen tidy. Tap to expand it again. Collapse state is saved between sessions.

Export Data for AI

Tap ⬇ Export data for AI at the bottom of any page to download a text snapshot of all your training data. Use it to share your history with an AI assistant for programming advice, analysis, or planning.

Sign In to Sync

Sign in with your Google account using the button at the top of any page. All data syncs automatically across devices and the Android app whenever you're connected — including:

To force a refresh, sign out and sign back in. Data merges by entry — programs added on different devices both appear after sync.
