Instructions: Lifts & Runs

Max Lifts

Your most recent logged max for each lift. Tap a lift button to see its full history: date, weight, reps, and calculated 1RM.

The Include in MAX LOAD total checkbox controls whether a lift counts toward the combined total on the One Rep Max page. Bench, Squat, and Deadlift count by default.

Custom exercises you add on the One Rep Max page appear here automatically.

Tap Hide ▾ to collapse this module when you don't need it.

Strength Progress: a line chart of your 1RM over time for the selected lift. Tap a lift button to switch the chart. Dates run oldest to newest, left to right. Log history on the One Rep Max page to fill the chart.

Upcoming

Active Programs at the top shows a progress bar for each program underway: days completed out of total days.

Below that, your next 7 unfinished workouts across all programs, in date order. Each row shows the day, its date, and its program and week. Today's workout is marked (Today) in red. A scheduled day past its date shows in yellow until you log it.

Tap a row to open that day's week in its program. The next workout has a Start → button that opens Perform mode for that day. Days drop off the list when you mark them Done or Missed.

Days without a date sit at the end of the list in program order.

Programs, Protocols, & Blocks

All your training programs live here. Each program card shows its status:

+ New creates a program. View opens it. Edit changes its structure. Share makes a link anyone can import. Excel downloads the schedule as a spreadsheet (.csv) for Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers: one row per exercise with week, day, date, sets, reps, and weight.

Program Archive: completed programs collect at the bottom of this module. Tap to expand. Shows the 5 most recent, with a Show More option.

Sharing Programs

Tap Share on a program card to make a link. Send it by text, email, or any messaging app. The recipient sees the program name and structure with an Add to My Programs button.

Sharing works for anyone. No sign-in needed. The program saves to their device on import. Browser users should sign in to sync to keep it across devices.

The share window shows the program's week and day counts so you can confirm the right program before sending. The import window shows the same counts plus the date it was shared. Open a link you already imported and BarbellMax warns you before making a second copy.

On Android the link opens BarbellMax directly if the app is installed. On iPhone or desktop it opens in the browser. The import works the same either way.

Shared programs carry the full structure: weeks, days, exercises, sets, reps, and weights. Log history stays behind. The recipient starts with a clean copy.

Building a Program

Weeks: add weeks and label them ("Week 1", "Deload"). Duplicate copies a week with all its days and exercises.

Days: add days to each week with a name and an optional date. Set dates in the editor and your day cards come pre-dated. Duplicate copies a day. Remove deletes it.

Days sort by date. Within each week, days fall into calendar order when you save. Add lifts first and runs after; once dated, they line up. Two days can share a date. Days without a date sit at the bottom of the week.

Exercises: add any standard lift, custom exercise, Run, Stretch, or Other to a day.

Tap Save, just above the Weeks section, to store your changes.
